All You Need To Know About Cornerstone

Cornerstone is an excited group of believers in Jesus Christ the Son of God who gave His life on the cross for the remission of our sins. Jesus freely offers forgiveness, salvation and eternal life to anyone who accepts it. Jesus said; I come that you may have life, and have it more abundantly. John 10:10.  We believe the Bible is God’s instruction manual and the Holy Spirit is our Guide. Our focus is on worshiping God, growing in our relationship with Jesus and developing friendships with one another. When you visit us, you’ll find the atmosphere casual and friendly. We’re always happy to make new friends.

Leadership:

Our leadership team recognizes the authority of God, and realizes that we are shepherds who serve under the Chief Shepherd, Jesus Christ. We desire to devote ourselves to prayer and to the ministry of the Word. Our passion and goal is to equip the believers for the work of the ministry until we all attain maturity in the fullness of Christ.

Pastor Chris Brown, Senior Pastor

I was born and raised in Southern Maryland. It was during my high school years that I made a commitment to Jesus Christ, while attending a revival on April 26, 1978 at my church. I began attending a Bible study in Southern Maryland and later became the teacher of that study when the leader and his family moved to England as missionaries.
After high school, I attended Prince Georges Community College where I earned my Associates Degree. During my years at the junior college, I worked at a Christian bookstore and played in a Christian music group. When I completed my Associates Degree, I moved to Fredericksburg, Virginia to complete my Bachelor’s Degree at the University of Mary Washington.
I have had the privilege of serving others in ministry and teaching God’s Word for over 30 years. I currently reside in South Stafford,
with my wife, Laura, and our three children, Olivia, Ethan, and Brett.
